| The hotel is located between upscale Park and Lexington avenues and close to Bloomingdale's, Broadway's theaters, Central Park, the Museum of Modern Art, St. Patrick's Cathedral and other major attractions. Subways two blocks forth can whisk guests to Museum Mile, Greenwich Village, SoHo and Chinatown. The Habitat's lobby is an ultra-modern space with curvey black-and-red seating. Guests will please in Mediterranean fare at the hotel's hip Opia, with its blood-red walls and purplish velvet seats. After dinner, they can socialise in the sofa-filled bar. Habitat services too include concierges, ATM and Internet kiosk. The Habitat's guestrooms range from singles and doubles with shared or private baths to rooms with queen-sized beds or suites and studios. They all include phones with data ports, and other amenities. Some rooms can suit up to four guests with bunk beds. While the contiguous neighborhood is upscale, the Habitat's prices are not, making this Manhattan hotel the perfect choice for people who'd instead pass money on things genuinely New York rather than on lodging.
